Kendra was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia. She moved to Winston Salem in 2005 when she began undergraduate school at Winston Salem State University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree, with honors, in Psychology with a minor in Political Science. During undergrad Attorney Morgan was a member of the pre-law society, the national honors society, and interned for Legal Aid of North Carolina.
Upon graduation Attorney Morgan started law school at North Carolina Central where she partook in various internships and the criminal defense legal clinic as a 3rd year law student. She was also a member of the Moot Court Board.
After some time off to get married and have children, Attorney Morgan successfully passed the July 2017 bar exam. She currently gives back to the community by volunteering with Legal Aid of North Carolina. Attorney Morgan enjoys helping others, spending time with family and friends, cooking and traveling.
Attorney Morgan accepted a position with the Law Office of J. Scott Smith in April 2019, she primarily focuses on Family Law issues.
